Versatile Writer. Creative Designer.
Strategic Planner.

Background

Coming up with impactful marketing ideas is just one process step to reach the folks who present an opportunity to your business or service. Languishing at the conceptualizing, brainstorming stages is common. Creative work is fun. But before committing resources to new ideas, a large window to your historical, strategic positioning must be opened. From this view—and with a vision of your ideas ready to share—it’s time to make decisions, arrive at a consensus and start the clockwork to move things forward. It’s also time to contact me.

On the front end, I provide a strategic mindset, identifying the high-level goals and objectives tied to your business and marketing aspirations. On the back end, I’m a tactical planner and production guru.

Gathering the best people who as a team tackle a campaign assignment. Tracking and meeting deadlines. Getting tactical projects finished and delivered to your marketplace. And in the middle, I apply my personal creative talents: content writing, graphic and Web design, and art direction championing integrated programs or campaigns. A background, truly unique.

Experience

Modern media platforms: They evolve, are daunting at first blush. Still, if applied in an integrated program or campaign, they stand a chance of making a difference in your marketing and customer acquisition efforts.

That’s today’s multiple-option tactical marketing world. To help put things into perspective, however, let’s take a look at back when.

Early on, I gained hands-on experience in basic page layout design. It was a matter of time before I was active in print advertising, product cataloging and sales collateral development. Working in print design environments, I gravitated toward writing, editing, and message crafting, as well as creative concept presentation.

These disciplines were the building blocks with which I built my college academic program at Mankato State University.

Quickly, writing marketing copy and designing communications pieces happened concurrently. It was a strength that separated me from others. Soon I branched out to other mediums, such as multi-media presentations and video. Video script writing and production quickly became a specialty of mine. Meanwhile, I supervised staff and handled large, integrated campaigns. Managing marketing events and trade exhibition participation became check-off items on my lists of things-to-do.

It’s no surprise that my past experiences have set the stage for me today to engage in a mixture of new and traditional media, which is dynamic and powerful.

Website development and content writing, email marketing, and Social Media platform launching balance with the things that were in vogue early on—and whose roots can still bear fruit to focus in on your target market and drive results.

Fitness Life

Walk into any local gym, and you’ll see the equipment and the amenities that people intend earnestly to use to improve personal wellness and change body shape. A gym is where they can set and achieve goals. If they're faithful to sticking with a workout routine or plan, they will see firsthand the differences sought during those first gym days when they overcame the feelings of being out of place.

It's easy to make comparisons between working out regularly in a gym—which I am committed to doing—and to my creative career path since graduating from college. A weight room is a place for sheer inventiveness. Finding the right mix of exercises that start producing results for the individual is the challenge. Personal training and classes support the requirement for ongoing skill and knowledge building.

In a gym, each significant milestone reached tomorrow, next week and next year depends greatly on today's accomplishments. So, it's your goals, commitment, passion and past lessons learned that contribute to your desired results when you open a gym locker door on a new day.

To be successful at being creative and committed to a fitness life, it begins with performing with an open mind. That means being open to acquiring new skills, benefiting from the knowledge of experts (who know more than you) and setting realistic goals, achieving them and setting new ones.

Over the years, becoming dedicated to my fitness life—and sticking to a results-producing exercise routine—has enhanced without a doubt, my abilities to be creative and strategic.
